The registration process is the prerequisite to attend the IUMI 2017 Tokyo Conference.
Registration is necessary for all participants.
Name badges will be provided to identify those who registered.
Registration by itself does not allow everyone to attend the conference working session or social events.
Please read carefully the specifications below before starting your registration process.

Please note that registration to the IUMI conference is restricted to employees from insurance companies and associations from IUMI members countries as well as the categories of attendees listed on the registration site. In case of doubt, please contact your national (marine) insurance association to make sure you are eligible to attend. Please note that brokers are not eligible to attend the IUMI conference.

Accredited Underwriter

Underwriters belonging to their respective national and market marine insurance associations or similar bodies who are IUMI members

Affiliated Member Representative

CMI, IACS, ICC, INTERCARGO, AMD, BIMCO, FEMAS, FIATA, IGP&I, IMCC, Interferry, International Chamber of Shipping, IUAI, Intertanko, ISU, IVR, UNCITRAL, IMO and TAPA.
Note: No more than 2 representatives per affiliation are allowed to register (one of them is free of charge).

Committee Member

A member of one of the IUMI Committees (Executive Committee, Nominating Committee and Technical Committees including the Political Forum, Salvage Forum and Education Forum).

Honorary Member

Individuals who have rendered exceptional service to the IUMI and are elected in this role by the Council.

IUMI Council Member

Nominated as representative with voting right of respective national and market marine insurance associations or similar bodies acting in the same capacity.

IUMI Professional Member (IPP)

Direct third party firms and companies that are suppliers to the marine insurance industry and have been recognised as such by the EC.
Note: maximum 3 Delegates per IPP can attend the Conference.

Sponsors and exhibitors will be contacted according to sponsorship terms and exhibition conditions, and there is no need to register via the official conference registration system.

REGISTRATION FEE

The amount of the conference fee is the following:

  • Early Bird rate is JPY 260,000 - registration within 31st May 2017, 16th June 2017, 17:00 JST (TAX included)
  • Regular rate is JPY 300,000 - registration after 31st May 2017, 16th June 2017, (TAX included)

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

REGISTRATION DEADLINE is set on 31st July 2017, 17:00 JST (payment by bank transfer is due within and not later than 7th August 2017, 17:00 JST)
REGISTRATION AMENDMENTS are possible until 21st August 2017, 17:00 JST (after this date, no changes can be made to the Conference Booklet List of Participants)

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE CONFERENCE FEE?

  • Entry to all conference sessions and the exhibition
  • Refreshment breaks and lunches from 18th to 20th September
  • Welcome Reception on 17th September
  • Japan Evening on 20th September
  • Local transportation as stated in the ACCOMODATIONS and SOCIAL EVENTS pages
  • One set of conference materials

Please note that Conference Fee does not include fees for travel, accommodation, airport transfers and optional tours.

First Timers' Reception on 17th September

Delegates attending the IUMI Conference for the first time are invited to a Cocktail in the Conference Venue, before the Welcome Reception.

Delegate's Accompanying Person

Each Conference Delegate can bring ONE Accompanying Person (spouse of the registered participant) to the following functions at no extra charge:

  • Welcome Reception on 17th September
  • Japan Evening on 20th September

Accompanying Persons cannot attend the Conference sessions and the exhibition.

Optional tours are available to Accompanying Persons at additional cost and should be booked in advance. Please see the relevant page in the website.

Please register Accompanying Person's details at the same time as registering as a Delegate.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

All payments must be made in Japanese yen.

1) Credit Card

American Express, Visa, Master Card, Diners Club and JCB are acceptable.

2) Bank Transfer

Remittance must be completed within 7 days after the "On-line Registration".

Bank account information will be provided on the last page of the "On-line Registration".
Please note that all transfer charges must be paid by participants.
Please make sure to indicate your name and registration number.

Please note: all inbound and outbound bank charges for remittance should be borne by the remitter and cannot be deducted from the fee. Please ensure and give instructions to your bank to this effect. If charges are deducted and the payment received by the IUMI 2017 Tokyo Conference Secretariat does not cover the total registration fees, the difference will have to be settled by the participant at the Conference.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

On-line Registration

Please click the "On-line Registration" button at the bottom of this page.

ONLINE REGISTRATION FLOW

  1. Please access the online registration system through the button on the bottom of this page and enter your profile.
  2. A URL will be sent to your email address to set up your Login ID and password.
  3. Please select your registration category and other options.
    * In the case you have already registered your profile, please start from this step.
  4. Please choose a payment method, either via credit card or via bank transfer.
    * If a payment method is not chosen within the next one hour, pending registrations will be automatically cancelled.
  5. A confirmation letter and receipt can be printed out when the payment is confirmed.

Note:
To change/add registrations after fixing on the payment method, please click on your registration no. on the menu page of the online system.

CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION

Your registration confirmation and receipt can be printed out through the "on-line Registration" page, when you have completed your payment.
Note:

  • The registration confirmation can be printed out as many times as you wish.
  • The receipt can be printed only once. Please inquire the Registration Desk if you have failed to print it out.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Refund for cancellations of registration will be made subject to the following deadlines and administrative charges:

  • On or before 21st July 2017, 17:00 JST: 90% of the registration fee
  • Between 21st July and 21st August 2017, 17:00 JST: 50% of the registration fee
  • After 21st August 2017, 17:00 JST and no-shows: no refund

All cancellations must be made via email to the IUMI 2017 Tokyo Conference Secretariat and the refund will be made within 30 working days after the Conference.

Please note that substitution by another participant is permitted on the basis that written notice is received on or before 20th August 2017, 17:00 JST.

Note: Optional tours available to Accompanying Persons follow a different cancellation policy.

The Secretariat of IUMI 2017 Tokyo reserves the right to cancel the conference in the event of inclement weather or unexpected circumstances (such as earthquakes, typhoons, novel influenza epidemics etc). In case of cancellation due to the above mentioned reasons, there will be no refund of the registration fee.

One-Day Pass One-Day Pass registration has closed.

As for past editions of the Conference, it is now possible to buy one-day attendance passes to IUMI 2017 Tokyo, in order to welcome participants who are able to attend only a part of the conference.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

One-day attendance passes are reserved ONLY to insurance and reinsurance companies and can be booked until Friday, 8th September 2017, 17:00 JST.
Rates:
- Full rate 70,000 JPY (TAX included)
- Reduced rate 50,000 JPY (TAX included) *
*the reduced rate applies to one of the followings:
a) Young participants (<= 30 years old).
    A clear copy of their ID card indicating the date of birth has to be provided upon application.
b) Companies that have already registered at least two delegates.
c) Companies that are willing to book a minimum of 3 one-day passes.

One-day pass includes access to conference sessions, exhibition, meals and refreshments on the chosen day(s) and conference materials. And it does not include participation in the social events, which are Welcome Reception on 17th Sep. (Sun) and Japan Evening on 20th Sep. (Wed).

Only NAME, SURNAME and COMPANY NAME of the attendee will be printed on the badge

Daily participants will not be listed in the Conference delegate list of the booklet.
Please check the detailed programme so that you can select the day you wish to be present.
